About The Position

The Warehouse Worker at the Central Kitchen is responsible for supporting day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storing, staging, and shipping materials and finished goods. This role ensures inventory is handled accurately and efficiently while maintaining food safety standards and a clean, safe work environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, physically capable, and detail-oriented.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Minimum of a High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication in English.
  • Ability to follow directions, work efficiently, and handle physical tasks.
  • Comfortable using handheld scanners, basic computer systems, or inventory tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Willingness to work in refrigerated, frozen, and warm environments as required.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and unload incoming shipments of raw materials and supplies.
  • Accurately pick, pack, and stage products for outbound shipments.
  • Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks/carts, and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Assist with inventory control, stock rotation, labeling, and cycle counts.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness and comply with sanitation and GMP requirements.
  • Follow FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and allergen segregation protocols.
  • Check and document product temperatures when receiving or moving perishable items.
  • Complete required logs, labels, and documentation accurately.
  • Report damaged goods, inventory discrepancies, or equipment issues promptly.
  • Support loading and unloading of trucks while ensuring proper documentation.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.
