About The Position

PACE Supply has an exciting career opportunity available for a Warehouse Worker / Qualified Driver at our Build Center, supporting our Groundwater Division, in our Fresno, CA location. We’re looking for a motivated, safety-conscious team player who takes pride in their work and is committed to helping us deliver outstanding service to our customers every day. This role involves efficiently receiving, storing, and distributing plumbing products, as well as picking, packing, and preparing orders while maintaining accurate inventory and stocked shelves. A key aspect of the position is safely making local deliveries to customers using a bobtail flatbed truck and working closely with dispatch to ensure timely and smooth delivery schedules. The responsibilities also include safely delivering plumbing products to customers’ homes and designated locations, ensuring all deliveries are completed accurately and on time, and obtaining customer signatures on packing slips. The driver will address and resolve customer concerns in the field and communicate delivery status to the scheduling and routing team. Vehicle operation and maintenance duties involve safely loading and unloading trucks, performing routine vehicle inspections, and maintaining the cleanliness and basic upkeep of the delivery vehicle. Warehouse operations include receiving work orders, pulling orders manually or using a forklift, packing and labeling materials, verifying filled orders, and restocking shelves. The role also involves team support and safety, assisting in training new Delivery Drivers, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and fostering a positive work atmosphere.

Requirements

  • Holds a valid California Class C driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Obtain a medical examiners certificate
  • Has prior warehouse and delivery experience
  • Is organized, detail-oriented, and communicates well with customers
  • Can comfortably lift heavy packages and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Possess a valid CA Class C Driver’s license and be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have clean driving record
  • Able to pass DOT physical to obtain a medical examiners certificate
  • Can pass a background check and drug test
  • 2 years of professional driving related experience and/or training
  • Long hours of moving and heavy lifting, up to 50 lbs
  • Basic knowledge and proper use of the English language, including reading, writing, and oral communications
  • Ability to put things in a proper sequence (e.g., by size, alphabetically, numerically) and to put like items together
  • Knowledge of driving laws and adherence to speed limits while driving a company vehicle
  • Knowledge of the procedure in the event of an accident in the warehouse or in company vehicle

Responsibilities

  • Communicate delivery status and any delays to the scheduling and routing team to ensure smooth operations
  • Safely load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling and secure transport of materials
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections using the designated inspection form and report any safety concerns to management
  • Maintain the cleanliness and basic upkeep of the delivery vehicle to ensure compliance with safety and company standards
  • Receive work orders from the supervisor and prioritize tasks based on scheduling needs
  • Pull orders from inventory manually or using a forklift, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Pack and label materials for delivery or customer pick-up, preparing necessary documentation such as bills of lading
  • Verify filled orders before delivery or pick-up to ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Restock shelves and racks from overstock as needed to maintain proper inventory levels
  • Assist in training new Delivery Drivers on company procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following safety protocols in the warehouse and delivery areas
  • Foster a positive work atmosphere by communicating effectively with customers, coworkers, and management
