About The Position

The Warehouse Worker 3 Team Member is a lead-level position on the Warehouse team with increased experience, skills, and responsibilities compared to Warehouse Worker 1 and 2. The Warehouse team's primary goal is to ensure efficient and safe handling of products, materials, and supplies within the warehouse, specifically focusing on receiving, storing, and distributing ice cream and related products, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring a clean and organized warehouse. The Warehouse Worker 3 assists the Warehouse Supervisor with planning and overseeing daily warehouse operations. This role involves leading and supporting the Warehouse team, ensuring efficient and accurate product handling, maintaining inventory accuracy, and fostering a safe and organized work environment. The position demands attention to detail, a strong commitment to food and plant safety, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced food manufacturing setting. Success in this role is achieved through a positive attitude and the expertise to guide and instruct junior-level Team Members, ensuring Warehouse tasks are completed efficiently and safely.

Requirements

  • 2+ years working in commercial food preparation, manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment
  • 1+ years warehouse experience
  • Possession of or ability to obtain a Forklift Operator's Certificate as needed
  • Experience operating various warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, dollies, power tools and other related equipment
  • Fluency in English
  • Good counting and math skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to bring hospitality into all interactions
  • Ability to work with people of all backgrounds and identities
  • Comfortable working on a team in a manufacturing facility with other teams
  • Possess general knowledge of warehouse operations, methods, types of equipment, and materials commonly used in a production warehouse setting
  • Ability to coach, lead, and motivate Team Members
  • Ability to uphold a high standard of service, efficiency, sanitation, and safety

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Warehouse Manager with daily planning by reprioritizing tasks and delegating responsibilities to Warehouse Team Members
  • Lead and support the warehouse team to achieve daily goals safely and efficiently
  • Train new Warehouse Team Members on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and follow up to ensure proper adherence
  • Review and create outbound orders, ensuring accurate and efficient picking and shipping
  • Accurately process and fulfill special orders for other departments, including e-commerce orders
  • Ensure all inbound deliveries are received accurately and in a timely manner and promptly communicate any discrepancies
  • Ensure products are stored in designated areas with proper stock rotation (FIFO method)
  • Maintain finished goods inventory accuracy, delegate physical inventories, and create inventory adjustments in NetSuite as needed
  • Assist with ERP data entry and office administration tasks
  • Uphold company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and SOP compliance among Warehouse Team Members, providing corrections where necessary
  • Operate powered industrial equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, dollies) safely and according to procedures
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) standards, and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) requirements
