Requirements

2 years of industry experience preferred with knowledge of general maintenance, and general ground care.
Previous Battery/Charger maintenance and repair experience preferred but not required.
Good Communication skills and the ability to work well with a diverse group of associates.
Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment (Hi-lift, RC, Pallet Jacks, etc.).
Considerable knowledge of safety practices.
Ability to use a variety of hand tools and multi meters.
Occasionally lift and carry up to 80lbs.
Occasionally climb ladders or use lift equipment to a height in excess of 28 ft.
Manual dexterity in hands, arms and legs to use tools, bend, stoop, stand and stretch.
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions required
Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook required (where applicable by location)
Flexible to work overtime preferred

Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

Completes all battery changes for the facility, will also water down batteries and conduct Battery maintenance as needed
Proficient in mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, and vacuuming surfaces
Disposes of Hazardous Materials in accordance with established OSHA procedures.
Assist with sanitation duties as needed.
Empties trash bins and cleans trash area daily; operates trash compactor when applicable. Pulls pallets and clean/scrubs product bays on a rotating basis.
Adheres to and complies with OSHA and company safety policies, rules, and wears personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
Perform or assist in all building repairs such as installing appliance, replacing electrical fixtures, re-key deadbolts, etc.
Participates in an ongoing property improvement plan and preventative maintenance program
Perform or assist with carpentry work, painting, and plumbing duties as required
Performs or assists with general appliance repairs, carpet repairs, and minor A/C and electrical repairs.
Performs all necessary maintenance for the property.
Other projects or tasks as assigned by Supervisor
Assist with facility responsibilities such as painting etc.
