About The Position

The Warehouse Training Specialist is responsible for the initial and ongoing training of warehouse personnel. This includes creating training documents, SOPs, hosting training meetings, seminars, orientations, and leading training exercises on the production floor. The training specialist will also be responsible for ensuring production personnel obtain and maintain various certificates pertaining to training such as PIV operator licenses etc.

Requirements

Basic computer skills
Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
Ability to make good decisions and take decisive action in a fast-paced environment
Good verbal and written communication skills
PIV Experience (Forklift, High Reach, Order Picker)
RF Scanner Experience
Warehouse Operation Systems Experience

Nice To Haves

High School diploma or equivalent, plus two years of experience in distribution

Responsibilities

Ensure Team Members have the proper tools and equipment to perform their jobs
Develop and maintain training materials for a dynamic working environment
Trains and certifies team members to safely use a variety of PIV equipment
Effectively communicate company processes and procedures to team members
Create and maintain a positive working environment that enhances team spirit
Coach, counsel, and provide guidance and on-the-job-training to Team Members
Communicate with Team Members concerning expectations, performance, and any changes
Support company values and goals to establish a world class organization
Ensure that all work is performed within specification
Maintain housekeeping to 5S standards
Conduct or participate in team and safety meetings, and promote safety within the workplace
Prompt, regular, predictable attendance
Physical presence at work during all scheduled work hours
Overtime and weekend work as required
