About The Position

Responsible for coordinating and training new warehouse employees, typically with relation to an area of the warehouse facility or identified set of activities.

Requirements

• Regularly stand and walk for 10 or more hours in a day.
• Effectively handle lifting, pushing, pulling up to 60 pounds frequently.
• Frequently required to bend, twist, stoop, grip, climb or balance, reach with hands and arms.
• Use strong math skills to count and multiply accurately.
• Use non-motorized and motorized MHE.
• High school diploma.
• Prior warehouse/distribution experience required.
• Prior use of forklift and other motorized equipment required.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees Forklift compliance and Operations training program.
• Ensures proper training of team members on safety & health requirements and policies to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
• Observes Warehouse activities and conditions. Regularly monitors health and safety policy violations. Enforces prescribed use of safety equipment (such as PPE) and the proper application of required safety procedures.
• Ensures regulatory safety compliance and implements required improvements; recommends changes to current safety policies and procedures.
• Assists New Hire Safety Orientation to all new warehouse team members.
• Develops productive personal relationships with team members at all levels to affect positive safety behavioral and cultural changes. Completes team member safety observations.
• Supports the Safety and Training Manager.
• Any other reasonable request by management.
