  • Previous Warehouse and power industrial vehicle experience such as a forklift

Responsibilities

  • Be the reliable primary contact for warehouse movement and for customer and local transportation provider interactions
  • Stock and organize product inventory for smooth warehouse operations
  • Load and unload freight using material handling equipment, power industrial vehicles such as a forklift; maintain work equipment, inbound/outbound shipments, loads and picks material into/out of warehouse racks, between locations, Log inbound freight (UPS, Federal Express, Airborne, DHL)
  • Maintain, stock and arrange office and warehouse supply inventory required for effective operation
  • Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required
  • Locate parts ensuring pallets are stable, observing pallet heights, material, racking, and equipment are not damages and material is not left in aisles
  • Satisfies customer demands of internal customers to include the timely delivery or removal of designated materials to or from the supported shop. Delvers high priority materials ahead of routine materials previously requested
  • Practices safe material handling techniques
  • Completes trainings as required including safety training, certification and testing
  • Reinforces culture of safety by utilizing all appropriate resources to safely preform all job functions
  • Perform housekeeping as assigned
  • May be required to purchase warehouse supplies to maintain building
  • Assist in annual warehouse inventory
  • Work with local, regional freights companies (setup times, hot shots, etc)
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments and freight accurately
  • Safely operates assigned material handling equipment ensuring all equipment in use has been inspected and in safe condition. Report all accidents/unsafe conditions to supervisor
  • Determines accurate material quantities by cycle counting
