RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES THE PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION IS TO COORDINATE THE DAILY OPERATIONS OF THE WAREHOUSE IN A SAFE, EFFICIENT MANNER AND ENSURE ACCURATE INVENTORY OF STOCK AND SPECIAL-ORDER ITEMS. THE RESULT OF THIS POSITION IS TO ENSURE APPROPRIATE LOGISTICAL SUPPORT FROM THE FIELD CREWS WITHOUT UNDUE DELAY TO THE PROJECT OR CUSTOMER OBJECTIVES. THE PURPOSE IS ACCOMPLISHED BY MONITORING AND COORDINATING THE DAILY WORKFLOW OF THE WAREHOUSE TO SUPPORT THE LOGISTICAL NEEDS OF THE FIELD CREWS. THIS INCLUDES MAINTAINING ACCURATE INVENTORY OF STOCK ITEMS THROUGH THE UTILIZATION OF THE RECORDS MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE PROGRAM, ENSURING ACCURATE RECEIVABLES, PROPERLY RECEIPTING DELIVERIES, PLACING ORDERS WITH SUPPLIERS AND VENDORS TO MAINTAIN STOCK AND ENSURE SPECIAL ORDER AND NON-STOCK DELIVERABLES ARE HANDLED IN A TIMELY FASHION. ADDITIONALLY, THIS POSITION IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING THE WAREHOUSE IN A MANNER WHICH IS NEAT, ORDERLY, WELL ORGANIZED AND SITUATED FOR OPTIMUM WORKFLOW AND SAFETY. THIS POSITION IS ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING INPUT TO THE OPERATIONS MANAGER TO ASSIST WITH FORECASTING AND TRENDING FUTURE NEEDS TO CREATE AND ENHANCE EFFICIENCIES WITHIN THE WAREHOUSE OPERATION. DRIVING TO JOBSITES FOR DELIVERIES WILL ALSO BE A MAJOR PART OF THIS POSITION; YOU MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Valid NCDL Class C
  • Two years of experience in warehouse operations
  • Ability to perform intermediate math and reading skills at a minimum of high school up to college level
  • Demonstrate proficiency with the use of inventory software, computers and technology
  • Experience using forklifts and other types of mechanized equipment
  • Ability to sit, bend, stoop and lift items not to exceed 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb, crawl and squat as the job demands

Nice To Haves

  • Two years’ warehouse experience in the electrical industry
  • Demonstrate an advanced level of problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to work with others to create a team oriented, positive work environment

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the daily operations of the warehouse in a safe, efficient manner
  • Ensure accurate inventory of stock and special-order items
  • Monitor and coordinate the daily workflow of the warehouse to support the logistical needs of the field crews
  • Maintain accurate inventory of stock items through the utilization of the records management software program
  • Ensure accurate receivables
  • Properly receipt deliveries
  • Place orders with suppliers and vendors to maintain stock and ensure special order and non-stock deliverables are handled in a timely fashion
  • Maintain the warehouse in a manner which is neat, orderly, well organized and situated for optimum workflow and safety
  • Provide input to the Operations Manager to assist with forecasting and trending future needs to create and enhance efficiencies within the warehouse operation
  • Driving to jobsites for deliveries
