No matter what stage of your career, you can build your future at Tempur Sealy! We are hiring for a full-time first-shift Warehouse Tech for Mountain Top Foam-Charlotte. A Warehouse Tech is responsible for providing support to production, shipping and receiving, and inventory control.
Requirements
- Ability to routinely lift 25 lbs.
- Ability to be cross trained to support other warehouse & material handling positions when necessary.
- Basic computer knowledge to include data entry operations, communication and ERP transactions.
- Ability to work inside trailers and outdoors in unregulated temperatures.
- Fork truck operation and material handling experience required.
Nice To Haves
- Reach Truck (stand up) certification preferred.
- Shipping & Receiving experience preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Responsibilities
- Follow all safety guidelines and participate as a fully empowered team member to achieve organization-wide goal of zero incidents.
- Maintain supply of raw materials to production assembly lines.
- Regularly operate a stand-up Reach Truck.
- Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Prepare and stage materials for shipment, including palletizing material, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise/materials.
- Load and unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting device.
- Perform assigned cycle counting and inventory.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
