This position, Warehouse Supervisor, is a multi-function supervisory role responsible for overseeing all procedures of warehouse personnel. It is an hourly position that reports to the Warehouse Manager. Requirements

  • Ability to read English (or another language as may be required for a specific store) sufficiently to read the pink invoice to match merchandise with the pick ticket.
  • Basic English language writing skills.
  • Basic math skills, including addition and subtraction, necessary to verify quantity of merchandise being pulled or being returned to stock.
  • Ability to grasp and lift or otherwise move goods weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted or up to 150 pounds with assistance.
  • Visual ability, corrected, to be able to observe and detect signs of shoplifting or dangerous behavior at a distance of 30 yards.
  • Ability to stand and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for a seven and one-half hour shift, with two fifteen-minute breaks and one half hour meal break.
  • Ability to learn and perform accurately all essential Warehouse Supervisor position functions with minimal direct supervision, within two weeks after an employee begins work.
  • Some knowledge of the Company’s mission, purpose and goals, and the role of the Warehouse Supervisor in achieving them.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all warehouse personnel.
  • Monitor and insure all safety policies are adhered to.
  • Insure the handling and distributing of both customer and company merchandise is properly followed through according to BrandsMart USA policy.
  • Treat all customers pleasantly and with respect.
  • Greet each customer in such a way as to make the customer feel genuinely welcome.
  • Be willing to impart whatever information the customer requests and be willing to educate that customer.
  • Use hand trucks, flatbeds, and platforms to aide in pulling merchandise from the warehouse or showroom floors.
  • Operate a Forklift to pull merchandise, if qualified.
  • Ensure a Back Support Belt is worn at any time lifting will be done.
  • Ensure he/she is tethered to the safety belt and to the platform when pulling product utilizing a lift platform.
  • Take steps to detect common signs of shoplifting, theft and other security risks involving customers and coworkers.
  • Promptly communicate potential problems to store management or store security.
  • Clean and maintain the warehouse or showroom areas using basic cleaning supplies.
  • Perform other related position duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager and/or supervisor.
