About The Position

MISSION FOODS USA, a part of Gruma Corporation, is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor. This role involves overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring new employees are properly trained in company policies, safety, loading procedures, warehouse organization, code dates, and AIB training. The supervisor will also be responsible for the accuracy of shipping office operations, making appointments, receiving products, coordinating with purchasing, ordering supplies, maintaining equipment, monitoring cooler charts, managing product rotation, inventorying stretch film, communicating product shortages, and working with Total Quality on returned products. Adherence to safety guidelines, GMPs, and regulatory compliance including HACCP and AIB gold standards is essential.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably within a food manufacturing environment
  • 2 years in a supervisory/lead capacity in a manufacturing environment
  • Computer skills
  • Communication & Training Skills
  • Good Math Skills
  • Familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Able to perform simple analysis
  • Be able to lift, pull and push at least 50 Lbs.
  • Be able to walk long distances and to be on his/her feet for long periods of time
  • Able to work in dusty, noisy, hot, cold and small areas
  • Must have Dispatch Truck Deadline Experience in a Food Service Department.

  • Effectively communicate in Spanish and English both verbal and written (desirable).

Responsibilities

  • Ensures new employees are trained correctly in accordance with company policies, safety, proper loading of trailers, the organization of warehouse, code dates, and AIB training
  • Ensures accuracy of the daily operations in the shipping office which include shipping correctly. Making appointments and receiving product
  • Coordinates with purchasing to pick up product from local vendors or interplant transfers
  • Order and issue P.O.’s for needed items
  • Keeping equipment in good repair
  • Monitoring the cooler charts and report any irregularities to maintenance
  • Responsible for the proper rotation of product
  • Inventory stretch film and submit this information to Purchasing twice weekly
  • Communicate product shortages with Production Scheduler
  • Work with Total Quality to make determinations on returned product
  • Monitor the production area to be sure product is being moved in a timely manner
  • Follow all safety guidelines and safety policies including LOTO policy.
  • Follow all GMP’s
  • Attend Safety and Quality training as required
  • Responsible for overseeing regulatory compliance including HACCP program and AIB gold standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
