About The Position

1st Shift Warehouse Supervisor – Shipping (Verona Road Location) Are you a strong leader with warehouse experience looking for an opportunity to make an impact? Join Certco Inc. as a 1st Shift Warehouse Supervisor at our Verona Road Distribution Center ! This critical role is part of a team of five supervisors leading operations within our grocery distribution network, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and teamwork in our shipping department. What You Will Love: Key Leadership Role: Lead warehouse operations during 1st shift within our shipping department, ensuring orders are processed and shipped accurately and efficiently. Team Collaboration: Work closely with a team of five supervisors to maintain seamless coordination within grocery distribution. Requirements Schedule: Sunday - Thursday Hours: 6:30am -3:30pm Position Summary As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a key role in managing and coordinating activities for our warehouse personnel, ensuring workflow optimization, productivity, and a commitment to safety. Your focus will be to oversee the accurate movement of inventory, uphold our rigorous safety protocols, and drive performance within your team. Your contribution will ensure we maintain a productive, organized, and safe warehouse that exceeds customer expectations.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent and excellent math skills
3 Years of related experience
Experience working with powered industrial equipment
Knowledge of warehouse shipping and receiving functions
Knowledge of and skill in using computer software, including Microsoft Office suite
Skill in operating various office equipment, such as personal computer, calculator, fax and copy machine
Ability to pay close attention to detail and coordinate various activities simultaneously
Ability to communicate with customers, co-workers, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to maintain confidentiality

Nice To Haves

Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience preferred
D.O.T. and Logistics experience preferred
Experience in identifying operational issues, recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems
Experience building and maintaining relationships within a team

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate warehouse staff to maintain productivity and accuracy in daily shipping operations.
Oversee order fulfillment and loading to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
Train, coach, and mentor team members to foster a culture of accountability and safety.
Monitor workflow and staffing levels, identify challenges, and implement improvements for continuous success.
Collaborate with other departments and shifts to ensure seamless warehouse operations and customer satisfaction.
Oversee and regulate all warehouse functions, fostering a highly productive environment
Mentor and develop team members through hands-on training and coaching
Provide instruction and evaluations for equipment operators
Uphold safety standards and ensure a secure working environment for all employees
Navigate employee relations, including initiating appropriate disciplinary actions when necessary
Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries, striving for 100% customer satisfaction
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment
Communicate critical production details to the Director of Warehousing and fellow shift leaders to ensure seamless operations
Execute additional tasks and duties as assigned by the Director of Warehousing
Is regular in attendance and complies with the Company Attendance Policy
