About The Position

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading daily warehouse, shipping, and transportation coordination activities at the Chicago site while supporting the broader Kerry vinegar network. This role oversees outbound shipments (bulk, FTL, and LTL), inventory accuracy, equipment readiness, and team performance to ensure on‑time, compliant, and cost‑effective delivery to customers. The Warehouse Supervisor provides hands‑on leadership to warehouse loaders and transportation partners, champions best practices across the network, and ensures strong alignment with food safety, quality, and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in industrial logistics, warehouse, or transportation operations
  • Supervisory or team‑lead experience
  • Proven track record understanding root cause for recurring issues and establishing systems and processes to ensure efficiency and dependability
  • Strong working knowledge of warehouse and transportation processes
  • Proficiency with SAP (or another ERP system), E2Open, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication, planning, relationship‑building, and team development skills

  • Experience in a union environment (preferred for supervisory/team-lead experience)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate daily warehouse and shipping operations, ensuring efficient preparation and shipment of outbound goods (bulk, FTL, and LTL)
  • Plan, schedule, and execute inbound and outbound transportation activities in partnership with fleet personnel and carriers
  • Supervise, train, and develop warehouse team members, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and performance
  • Champion Kerry food safety, quality, and safety policies, ensuring compliance by employees, contractors, and visitors
  • Monitor and achieve site KPIs related to safety, service, quality, cost, and OTIF (On‑Time, In‑Full) performance
  • Manage shipping documentation and SAP transactions including PGI, BOLs, packing slips, COAs, shortages, damages, overages, and returns
  • Serve as a daily point of contact for drivers and carriers through in‑person, phone, and digital communication
  • Support transportation and material purchasing activities for raw and packaging materials as needed
  • Manage inventory accuracy through cycle counting and inventory control activities
  • Investigate shipment issues and complaints, conducting root cause analysis and partnering with Quality and Customer Service on corrective actions
  • Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits, including ISO 14001‑related activities
  • Maintain equipment readiness, including forklifts, leased transportation equipment, scales, and related PM, calibration, and audit requirements
  • Serve as backup forklift trainer after obtaining Train‑the‑Trainer certification
  • Manage costs through operational efficiency, process improvement, and disciplined execution
  • Provide weekend, evening, or on‑call support for the vinegar network as required
