Requirements

  • A high school diploma and at least 1-3 years of experience in a warehouse leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills.
  • Excellent communication and time management abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize discrepancies.
  • Ability to assemble and direct a successful team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs & Drive, and Android devices.
  • Commitment to Spartan’s Core Values and a safety-first mindset.
  • Frequent standing, kneeling, and walking
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to carry 50 lbs.
  • Occasional carrying, bending
  • All candidates must successfully complete a drug screening and background check as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Achieving high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in shipping, receiving, order accuracy, and quality control.
  • Measuring and reporting the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee performance.
  • Organizing and maintaining product flow on the line.
  • Ensuring shipment accuracy.
  • Determining staffing levels and assigning workloads.
  • Communicating with customers to answer questions and solve problems.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement innovative ideas or adjust work procedures.
  • Complying with OSHA and other safety regulations.
  • Conducting safety inspections.
  • Overseeing the daily workflow of the warehouse.
  • Scheduling and organizing staff to ensure proper coverage of all shifts.
  • Training and directing new warehouse employees.
  • Conducting timely and constructive coaching to employees.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
