The ISSA Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing duties included, but not limited to, verifying materials or merchandise against receiving documents; receives, stores, stacks, or palletizes materials. Removes material from storage and prepares it for shipping for local customer pickup or via outbound shipping for customers off the installation.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver’s License without restrictions
  • Specific contractual requirements regarding education and experience prevail where applicable.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Forklift license.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Must be able to pass the standard background check.
  • Must be able to pass a Pre-screen Drug Test
  • Storage and warehouse functions and associated experience in computer support systems applicable to the requisition, receipt, storage, issue, and associated warehousing functions.
  • Four (4) years or more experience in warehouse operations.
  • Four (4) years or more experience in driving and operating forklifts.
  • Possess high ethical standards and demonstrate professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team-based, highly collaborative environment.
  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Global Combat Support System- Army (GCSS-A)

Responsibilities

  • Verifies material and merchandise against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.
  • Routes material and equipment to prescribed storage locations.
  • Properly stores, stacks or palletizes materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
  • Rearranges as necessary and takes inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage.
  • Removes material from storage and prepares it for shipment.
  • Establishes and maintains stock records and other documents such as inventory, material control, accounting and supply reports.
  • Assists in taking inventories through physical count and records item count on inventory documents.
  • Operating and maintaining forklifts and MHE related equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives.
  • Job duties and responsibilities may change due to contractual requirements
