The Supply Technician has the responsibility of solving any problems regarding logistical matters within the ISSA. They also play an advisory role by consulting with employees with questions about GCSS-Army. They work closely with the ISSA Supervisors to ensure the swift delivery of critical equipment.

Requirements

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Must be able to pass a pre - employment drug screen.
  • Valid State Driver's License without restrictions.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Four (4) years or more experience in supply operations at the property book level.
  • Possess high ethical standards and demonstrate professionalism.
  • Must have technical experience and comprehensive knowledge of Government regulations, policies, procedures and supervisor role.
  • Must have comprehensive knowledge of the applicable supply and equipment management processes, related regulation, and is required to ensure effective accountability of all assigned property.

Responsibilities

  • The Supply Technician will have knowledge of operational policies, procedures, and logistics goals.
  • Perform requisitioning and receiving procedures of repair parts, supplies and equipment utilizing Army automated computer programs GCSS-Army.
  • Works with a framework of established supply regulation, policies, and procedures an in the resolution of issues encountered in the process
  • Performs duties involving request, receipt, storage, issue, accountability and the preservation of Authorized Stock Listing (ASL).
  • Reviews all authorized documents daily. Perform clerical and physical work daily
  • Conducts inventories including preparations, documentation, and reporting per prescribed regulations
  • Identifies equipment status to include completeness, serviceability, and accountability
  • Maintains the automated supply system for accounting of organizational property and equipment.
  • Inspects completed transactions/work for accuracy and compliance with established policy and procedures.
  • Coordinates property and equipment disposition.
  • Maintains property and equipment IAW Army regulations, PWS, SOP, and Work Instructions.
  • Ensures all Annual/Cyclic inventories are conducted IAW current regulatory procedure.
  • Tasks include connection with requisitioning, receiving, accounting for, storage, and securing of US Government and major items of equipment, tooling, repair parts and other material associated with shop operations. This includes executing package/container inspections, in-house deliveries and providing clerical support to the purchasing administrators.
  • Maintain accountability and inventory controls on all received shipments
  • Inspect incoming government and vendor procured material when required to determine acceptance/rejection based on adequacy of design and compliance with specifications.
  • Use general shop and mechanics tools in connection with material packaging and preservation requirements
  • Computer skills in stock record account, procurement and/or inventory control and Microsoft suite required.
  • Duties may include procuring supplies, etc. from external sources.
  • Work requires extensive interaction with customer. Must comply with published Company work rules.
  • Other duties as assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives.
