About The Position

Collins Aerospace is looking for a Warehouse Specialist – 2nd Shift for the Aftermarket team. In this position you will be responsible for receiving of parts and preparing inventory for shipment to the client. This position requires you to be always organized and safety conscious. This position is based on-site at our Chula Vista, CA facility and will be part of the IAM Local 755.

Requirements

  • Typically HS diploma, GED with 4 years of relevant experience, is required.
  • Prior experience working in a warehouse.
  • Experience with safety practices and procedures.
  • Experience working with computers.

Nice To Haves

  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Experience with forklift and operating a radio crane.
  • Able to work independently.
  • The ability to use SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Train 1st shift hours Monday - Friday (6:30am - 3pm) for up to 60 days
  • Work 2nd shift hours Monday - Friday (2:30pm - 11pm)
  • Pull parts that have been stored in a warehouse stored as inventory.
  • Cycle counting of inventory.
  • Opening of supplier product to be stored in a warehouse.
  • Box and prep customer orders for shipment.
  • Process, store, and send inventory according to purchase orders and shipping schedules.
  • Load and unload orders from various carriers and freight forwarders.
  • Organize incoming deliveries.
  • Apply the appropriate labels on outgoing parcels.
  • Operate licensed lift trucks of any capacity.
  • Maintain good shop practices including safety and housekeeping.
  • This position stands for long periods of time.
  • You will be carrying loads up to 30 pounds.
