About The Position

The Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan. This position reports directly to the Warehouse Specialist Lead/Supervisor and is responsible for verifying materials or merchandise against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies or damages, and routing materials to prescribed storage locations. The Warehouse Specialist is also responsible for storing, stacking, and palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed methods, rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials for deterioration or damage, and removing materials from storage for shipment preparation. This position may operate hand or power trucks when performing warehousing duties. Performs all other position -related duties and assigned or requested.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Have at least 3 years' relevant experience.
  • Knowledgeable with Global Combat Service System-Army (GCSS-A).
  • Typing speed of no less than 40 w.p.m. and a good command of spoken and written English.
  • Able to work independently on various office administrative duties with attention to details.
  • Hands-on experience in Microsoft Office, word processing, Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
  • Generate reports on inventory, scheduling, and compliance for employees to perform audits.
  • Conduct inventory management, ensuring accurate stock levels of materials, packaging, and finished goods.
  • Prepare equipment for issue and receipt to organizations.
  • Required to perform physical activities that require considerable use of the arms and legs and moving the entire body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, stooping to handle materials.
  • Required to walk, stand, sit, and move about the property for long periods of time.
  • Safety conscious attitude.
  • Possess a Valid California Commercial Drivers' License (CDL).
  • Must be a US Citizen or able to work in the US.
  • A valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) is required for this position to meet the scope of contract operations.
