About The Position

The Supply Technician is responsible from performing a variety of technical and administrative duties related to logistics, property accountability, and supply chain management in support of the Accountable Property Officer (APO) and applicable U.S. Army Reserve programs. This position involves planning, coordinating, and evaluating logistical actions required to ensure that all equipment, materials, and supplies are properly maintained, tracked and reported to accordance with Army regulations and PD Systems procedures. The Supply Technician assists in identifying and defining equipment, manpower, and material requirements correlating those requirements with program plans to ensure the timely and accurate delivery and support. Duties include cataloging, receiving, issuing, and storage operations, as well as maintaining accountability for government property through accurate documentation and control measures. The technician prepares and maintains property records, requisitions, and inventory reports to ensure full traceability of all items issued or received under the Accountable Property Officer's oversight. This position requires proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as familiarity with automated logistics and property management systems. The Supply Technician reviews and verifies documentation for accuracy, coordinates supply transactions, reconciles discrepancies, and ensures compliance with established procedures for issue, turn-in, and disposal of property. The role also supports logistical planning and coordination of efforts, assists with audits and inspections, and provides data analysis to identify trends, shortages, and improvement opportunities in supply operations. The Supply Technician applies analytical skills to define or recognize problems, collect data, and recommend or take corrective action based on established regulations and program guidance. Assignments require a thorough understanding of supply management policies, nomenclature, and work methods, as well as ability to manage priorities in a dynamic environment. The position contributes directly to the effectiveness of maintenance and logistics operations by ensuring accountability, readiness, and compliance across all assigned property and materials Performs all other position -related duties and assigned or requested.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Have at least 3 years' relevant experience.
  • Knowledgeable with Global Combat Service System-Army (GCSS-A).
  • Typing speed of no less than 40 w.p.m. and a good command of spoken and written English.
  • Able to work independently on various office administrative duties with attention to details.
  • Hands-on experience in Microsoft Office, word processing, Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
  • Required to perform physical activities that require considerable use of the arms and legs and moving the entire body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, stooping to handle materials.
  • Safety conscious attitude.
  • Must be a US Citizen or able to work in the US.
