Summary: The Supply Technician provides office automation, supply, and property management support for medical logistics operations. This position is responsible for inventory management, materiel accountability, procurement tracking, equipment lifecycle support, and coordination across logistics, supply, and resource management functions in support of medical equipment maintenance and sustainment.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.
  • Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
  • An understanding of the needs of the organization service.
  • Tracks tasks/events/issues to include personnel status.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally (internally) and/or (externally).
  • Strong English language skills (both written and verbal).
  • Proficiency in using the internet.
  • Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Minimum three (3) years of related logistics, supply, or property management experience.
  • Experience supporting Government entities; Department of Army or DoD experience preferred.
  • Ability to work with DMLSS and other Government logistics systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a NACI clearance and CAC.
  • Ability to pass NACI investigation and credit check in accordance with federal and contractual requirements.
  • Experience supporting medical logistics or equipment management operations.
  • One-year experience in USCG procedures, including ALMIS and AMMIS.
  • Valid State Issued driver's license.
  • High School Diploma.

Responsibilities

  • Turn-in actions and inventory counts using data plate information to query catalog systems of record (FEDLOG/WEBFLIS, AESIPS) to determine whether materiel has been cataloged and if an NSN/MCN exists.
  • Update AESIPS when part numbers do not exist by submitting new part number requests, including manufacturer information, CAGE codes, unit identification codes, FSC/SCMC data, quantities, pricing, and data plate documentation, and ensure records are updated in DMLSS.
  • Maintain and monitor the tracking of locally assigned part numbers until they are cataloged in DMLSS and AESIP.
  • Inspect new equipment to validate shipping documentation, components, accessories, manufacturer part numbers, serial/registration numbers, and quantities.
  • Support data management of capital equipment and maintain sensitive item inventories and Financial Liability of Property Loss (FLIPL) documentation in accordance with ARIMS.
  • Prepare inventory schedules for semi-annual and annual inventories, coordinate hand-held terminal issuance, notify Hand Receipt Holders (HRH), and assist with sub-hand receipt processing.
  • Perform warehousing and inventory management activities in coordination with Government personnel.
  • Review property and equipment requests to ensure correct materiel stock numbers, units of issue, and nomenclature are used.
  • Review materiel requests for accuracy, reasonableness, and alignment with organizational requirements.
  • Make recommendations to the Property Book Officer (PBO) regarding Non-Expandable and Durable purchase requests.
  • Manage and track materiel requests from initial issue through delivery.
  • Review Government customer materiel disposal requests, inspect items to verify condition, and provide disposal review results to the PBO for execution through Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) processes.
  • Create daily procurement related reports and monitor purchase request status utilizing GFEBS and Automated Inventory System.
  • Validate procurement requests for e-commerce applicability upon receipt.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers, Supply Technicians, Equipment Management Branch (EMB), and the Resource Management Division to facilitate completion of purchase requests and New Equipment Requests (NER).
  • Assist equipment coordinators and equipment managers with LogiCole NER review, updates, tracking, and action processing.
  • Create and maintain daily status and monitoring reports related to NER activity utilizing LogiCole and Automated Inventory Systems.
  • Provide customer support by delivering equipment, supply, and procurement status updates and direct assistance.
  • Provide office administration support including preparation of correspondence, filing, document management, invoice copying, credit card reconciliation support, and vendor price verification.
  • Perform general office duties including sorting, filing, typing, editing, mail distribution, and answering/directing phone calls.
  • Assist with editing and requesting changes from Logistics Leadership for the Logistics Division SOPs, regulations, policies and other publications.
  • Within 45 days of assignment, demonstrate proficiency in agency-approved Automated Inventory Systems, GFEBS, DMLSS, and LogiCole.
