About The Position

The Software Consultants support our sales teams to design automated material handling systems leveraging the latest technologies in the industry to help our customers deliver the things people need to live better and easier lives. With a focus on software, they work together with our consulting, controls, robotics and other teams in conjunction with our customers to define scope and requirements needed to deliver the best solution for our clients both for new systems and enhancements to existing sites. This role gives you the opportunity to see how some of the most advanced material handling equipment is integrated into our customers’ operations and existing IT systems.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial preferred) or related technical/supply chain field.
• 3-5+ years’ industry experience in technical sales
• Technical mindset with a strong desire to learn, ask questions and seek answers
• Positive, problem-solving mentality
• Entrepreneurial, optimistic about pursuing opportunities
• Employees must follow all information security policies, protect confidential data, complete required training, and report any suspected security incidents to support our information security controls.
• Must maintain a valid drivers license and passport

Responsibilities

• Develop a solid understanding of Bastian’s Exacta software
• Support our consulting and sales teams as the software subject matter expert – defining software scope and requirements, providing design feedback
• Lead requirements gathering and scope definition efforts with our customers in the sales process
• Create software-specific proposal and presentation content in support of the overall solution proposal
• Support sales presentations on our solutions, speaking to the role Bastian’s Exacta software plays in the customers’ operations
• Work with our Software Delivery team to communicate requirements and develop cost estimates in support of the overall solution proposal
• Provide excellent customer service by staying engaged with our customers long-term as their business needs change and evolve
• Support our Software Operations team by being hands-on supporting testing and go-live efforts if needed
• Assist our customer support teams if needed
