About The Position

The Delivery Return to Stock (RTS) Associate will inspect, inventory, prep merchandise to be put back in stock or moved to the shop, and pick, and put away merchandise that is returned from deliveries. This individual will also ensure merchandise has the correct parts before handling or transporting, and will ensure all paperwork from the Local Drivers is filled out correctly for all merchandise. The Delivery Return to Stock Associate will also be trained and certified on a stock picker to enable successful movement of merchandise to other departments or to be placed back in stock, all training is provided and paid for by AFW. Starting Pay: $18/Hr. We offer competitive compensation, excellent benefits, and weekly pay to all of our Team Members. Commuter Pay: $25 per week (Englewood Commuter Reimbursement) (Added to your paycheck each week)

Requirements

• Ability to work 0 to 35 feet above the ground
• Ability to be trained in cross-over training
• Ability to become certified in the operation of warehouse equipment
• Ability to be trained on the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies including but not limited to Dispatch Track, Storis, iPad, Excel, Word, etc
• Have a flexible schedule and work all shifts, holidays, and weekends
• Positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills
• Coordinate and work effectively with multiple departments to continuously improve processes, and maximize efficiency
• Requires the ability to maneuver in confined and at times congested areas
• Requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, & bend for 8 hours or more daily
• Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back
• Requires lift, lower, push, and pull all sizes of merchandise up to 100 lbs. frequently and the ability to handle/manipulate up to 250 lbs.
• The Delivery Return to Stock (RTS) Associate position requires lifting, gripping, bending, kneeling, stooping, and moving merchandise 8 hours or more daily
• Lift, lower, push and pull all sizes of furniture up to and over 100 lbs
• Professional with good communication skills
• Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and professionalism at all times
• A pre-employment drug screen and pre-employment background check must be passed upon the job offer

Responsibilities

• Pick and put away merchandise that is returned from deliveries
• Ensure merchandise has the correct parts before handling or transporting
• Ensure all paperwork from the Local Drivers is filled out correctly for all merchandise
• Train and become certified on a stock picker to enable successful movement of merchandise to other departments or to be placed back in stock
• Commitment to AFW’s safety policies and procedures and ability to promote awareness
• Maintain a positive working relationship with the customer service and delivery check-in departments
• Identifying and reading reports, tickets, and UPC labels
• Efficiently disassembled and assembled merchandise
• Able to operate a radio frequency (RF) scanner
• Able to correctly use a hand truck
• Able to safely handle product from 0 to 35 feet above the ground
• Inspect all power equipment and complete the Vehicle Inspection Report before operation
• Inventory Customer Owned Goods (C.O.G) and ensure the paperwork is filled out correctly
• Possess the knowledge and the ability to perform the correct lifting/team lifting techniques
• Confirm all paperwork is filled out correctly by the delivery teams
• Efficiently wrap and protect merchandise by using the appropriate materials before putting it away
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and professionalism at all times
