The Warehouse Representative role is crucial in organizing and maintaining inventory, managing shipments, processing orders, and ensuring warehouse safety and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in inventory and order fulfillment
  • Solid organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and resolve discrepancies efficiently
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment
  • Ability to safely lift and move up to 70 pounds
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, inventory management tools, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within North America, if required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Hands-on experience with shipping, receiving, picking, packing, and inventory control
  • Proven ability to identify issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement practical solutions in a warehouse setting

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment
  • 2–3 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment
  • Experience using ERP systems or warehouse management systems is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure efficient storage, easy access, and optimal use of warehouse space
  • Receive incoming shipments, verify accuracy against purchase orders, and inspect for damage or discrepancies
  • Accurately enter receipts, inventory movements, and order details into ERP systems and supporting tools
  • Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders with attention to accuracy and proper packaging to prevent damage during transit
  • Process sales orders and ensure all shipments include correct documentation and labeling
  • Safely operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards throughout the warehouse
  • Perform routine checks and basic maintenance of warehouse equipment and report any issues
  • Support inventory control processes including cycle counts and stock reconciliation
  • Promote and support Normet’s HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality) initiatives in all areas of work
  • Maintain accuracy, integrity, and compliance in all documentation and transactions
  • Uphold Normet’s Values, Policies, and Procedures at all times
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and use required PPE
  • Report safety incidents or near misses promptly
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and professional development
  • Stay current with industry trends, systems updates, and warehousing best practices
  • Work closely with Customer Service and Sales Support teams to ensure alignment and consistent service delivery
  • Participate in training, cross-functional collaboration, and skill development initiatives
  • Support a positive, accountable, and collaborative team culture
