About The Position

Responsible for the accurate electronic documentation of in-coming and outgoing receipts, inventory control, invoicing, and other administrative tasks associated with warehouse operations. Coordinates and schedules pick-up and delivery of goods. This position works in tandem with Warehouse Inventory Manager to ensure all inventory, receiving and administrative responsibilities are completed daily.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a high school or equivalency diploma.
  • Must possess basic computer skills.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain power equipment certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience operating power equipment in a warehouse setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Enters received items into inventory and prints pallet tags.
  • Makes corrections to orders after they are pulled (i.e., out of stocks, replacement items etc.).
  • Prints donor receipts for donated items.
  • Ensures proper categorization of incoming goods, when entering product information, including using categories health and nutrition, and culturally relevant goods.
  • Assigns inventory numbers to new items as they are received.
  • Print invoices for agencies and delivery drivers.
  • Schedules pick-ups and deliveries in collaboration with the Transportation team.
  • Oversees internal inventory control processes, including performing daily cycle counts and monthly inventories.
  • Utilizes Feeding America's Choice system to transfer slow moving items.
  • Resolves order discrepancies with agencies, while maintaining a positive and effective working relationship.
  • Makes daily inventory adjustments.
  • Mails donation receipts to donors.
  • Answer telephone calls.
  • Creates mass invoices/handbills for the month.
  • Prints pallet labels as needed.
  • Assist with safe food handling, storage and distribution of product.
  • Maintains regular communication with food industry donors to coordinate such tasks as but not limited to, product pick-ups, cancellations, holidays and holiday hours.
  • Assists with coordination of general warehouse tasks such as , but not limited to, warehouse sanitation, health and safety standards, machine certification training, pest control program and regular cleaning schedule.
  • Maintains a clean and safe workspace.
  • Inspects power equipment prior to use.
  • Follows all safety standards and procedures.
  • Works independently and collaboratively with other departments and employees in support of the mission of the Food Bank.
  • Adheres to the Food Bank's Employee Code of Conduct.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
