About The Position

The Warehouse Receiver is responsible for managing all inbound materials for the Dairy, including bulk cleaning chemicals. This role involves completing necessary paperwork and accurately entering data into SAP or DAI software. Key duties include staging materials for the next day's production runs, transferring items from satellite or other warehouses, and meticulously documenting and recording lot numbers for all receivables and inventories. The receiver must ensure proper material rotation using the FIFO method and handle the staging and loading of recyclables such as bails, drums, and broken-down boxes onto trailers. Additionally, the position requires tracking and maintaining the supply of bottle trailers for the Dairy, performing environmental and general housekeeping cleaning to keep warehouses organized, and conducting regular cycle counts and monthly inventories. The role also entails completing various documentation, including production numbers, weights, downtime, and chemical concentrations. Adherence to USDA protocols for illness and food handling is mandatory. The position requires physical capability to pull, push, and lift heavy items and the flexibility to work various shifts, holidays, and weekends based on business needs. Other duties may be assigned by supervision.

Requirements

  • Good knowledge of dairy GMP’s
  • Prior machine experience with high-speed packaging and labeling equipment
  • Ability to work independently adhering to Wawa safety and productivity standards
  • Prior experience in a food-processing environment with focus on quality
  • Have the necessary CDL license, permits, and experience to drive a tractor trailer moving trailers
  • Ability to enter data using DAI and SAP software, and create documents
  • Must be certified in the operation of a riding pallet jack, and a sit down forklift
  • Ability to work various shifts, holidays, and weekends based on business needs
  • Must be able to pull a stack of six cases, weighing up to 216 pounds, a short distance
  • Must be able to push/pull a manual pallet hand truck, up to 1,000 pounds
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Receive all inbound materials for the Dairy, including bulk cleaning chemicals
  • Fill out paperwork for all receivables
  • Enter receivables on the computer using SAP or DAI software
  • Stage materials needed at Dairy for next day’s run, bringing them over from the satellite warehouse or other warehouses
  • Document and record lot numbers of receivables and inventories
  • Rotate all materials using FIFO
  • Stage and load recyclables onto a trailer including bails, drums, and broken down boxes
  • Help to keep track of bottle trailers for the Dairy, and keeping them in supply of bottle trailers
  • Perform environmental cleaning as required
  • Keep warehouses clean and in order
  • Do cycle count inventories, and monthly inventories of materials
  • Complete any required documentation including production numbers, weights, downtime, chemical concentrations, etc.
  • Follow USDA protocol in regards to illness and food handling procedures
  • Perform environmental and other housekeeping cleaning as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision
