About The Position

Pacific Coast Fresh Company is a local, family-owned produce distributor that has proudly served Pacific Northwest retail, wholesale, and food service customers since 1977. They are one of the largest independent produce distributors in the Northwest with distribution centers in Portland, Oregon, and Seattle (Kent), Washington. The Receiver position is responsible for managing all inbound products, including Warehouse, Prepared Foods, and Supplies, as they arrive at the PCF dock. Key duties involve product rotation, supplying products to various crews for loading, and overseeing all product movement within the facility prior to the actual picking of orders. The role requires the ability to take direction from multiple supervisors across changing shifts.

Requirements

• Experience operating a forklift in a warehouse environment.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Good attention to detail and understanding of the structure and operation of the receiving and loading departments.
• Ability to learn and operate RF scanners and portable communications.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Must be able to operate equipment (forklift, floor jack, etc.) safely and professionally.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check prior to beginning work.

Responsibilities

• Utilize RF gun to enter purchase order information and print manifests and tags.
• Properly track paperwork from driver through receipt process.
• Properly tag and distribute received product to pick slot and rotation.
• Ability to multi-task under time sensitive conditions.
• Ability to meet productivity requirements while operating in a safe and efficient manner.
• Organize and maintain inventory in the slot.
• Keep the warehouse organized and clean.
• Other duties may be assigned.
