About The Position

And as the Warehouse Quality Lead, you’ll be responsible for in-field assessment of quality issues across our network of warehouses across the US and Canada. You will partner closely with our warehouse and logistics teams, and help drive process improvements. Why We Need You: In this cross-functional role, you will work with cross-functional teams to maintain our high levels of product quality. Ensuring our product quality that is delivered to our customers is of key importance, to ensure this happens, you will conduct inspections and audits, do root cause analysis, work on process improvements and projects to improve the quality and performance of owned inventory. Location: 400 Park Center Drive, Patterson, California, 95363, US Schedule: Monday - Friday working in our Patterson Fulfillment center (Open to traveling to our other networks across the United States and Canada up to once or twice per month). More frequent travel could be required in the event of a major project. About the team: You will lead a team of 5 that consists of 2 Junior Quality Specialists, 1 Quality Specialist, and 1 Senior Quality Specialist.

Requirements

  • The Experience: You bring 5+ years of furniture-specific quality, supply chain, or inspection experience.
  • The Specialist: You are an expert at furniture testing (like drop tests), assembly checks, and creating clear CAPA (Corrective Action) reports.
  • The Problem Solver: You use root-cause analysis to identify process gaps and recommend corrective actions for both current and future production.
  • The Collaborator: You are a strong, independent decision-maker who can also communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
  • The Pace: You thrive in high-speed environments and maintain a continuous improvement mindset under pressure.
  • The Physicality: You are able to lift/maneuver up to 75 lbs. solo and 300 lbs. with a team.
  • The Essentials: You are willing to undergo a criminal background check and participate in E-Verify.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect stock and returns with known or suspected non-conformances or issues, and conduct root cause analysis as required.
  • Review products with high delivery damage rates or other damages, and conduct in-field investigation on root cause of issue.
  • Provide training to warehouse and third-parties on inspection procedures and requirements.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop solutions for quarantined units.
  • Lead implementation of solutions for quarantined solutions as needed when there is a backlog or for projects that only require basic warehouse solutions.
  • Conduct validation testing for stock undergoing improvements, and conduct basic drop testing/performance testing on products with suspected issues or non-conformances.
  • Act as lead quality representative in event of critical issues on stock, and travel as required to conduct in person assessment of issues.
  • Conduct audits on incoming containers to verify conformance to standards, and to verify the implementation of CAPAs for container or packaging related specifications such as hex feet placement or box labelling.
  • Conduct investigation/inspection and prepare reports on damaged product received on container.
  • Conduct inspections on the first incoming container of new products (as required).
  • Manage warehouse quality team; prioritize incoming work and provide ongoing training and development.
  • Provide support to Vendor Quality Team for North America suppliers to conduct supplier visits for inspections, sample reviews or CAPA work.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on issues related to product damages and handling in collaboration with VQT, WHF, LOG, and TPD .
  • Collaborate with internal team and cross-functional stakeholders on process improvements, SOPs and other projects as required.
