About The Position

The Warehouse Product Supervisor oversees warehouse, packaging, and grinding operations, managing contractor teams to ensure efficient product preparation, inventory accuracy, and timely shipment. This role requires hands-on leadership, practical warehouse logistics expertise, and commitment to safety and operational excellence in a continuous manufacturing environment

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years warehouse/materials experience in chemical or manufacturing industry
  • Minimum 3 years supervising warehouse operations
  • Experience with inventory management systems (SAP preferred)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of inventory control practices (cycle counts, stock reconciliation)
  • Able to work in warehouse environment (standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs) and flexible hours during peak periods
  • Strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Skilled at prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects to meet deadlines
  • Candidates must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Process customer orders and internal requisitions daily via inventory management system and coordinate timely fulfillment.
  • Perform regular cycle counts, investigate and reconcile discrepancies in inventory system.
  • Process and document internal stock requests from production and quality control; update system accordingly.
  • Maintain FIFO inventory management for raw materials
  • Create bills of materials and post production data in SAP
  • Generate outbound deliveries in SAP
  • Troubleshoot packaging equipment including conveyors, bag filling machines, FIBC systems, and palletizers
  • Resolve packaging material issues to ensure smooth operations
  • Foster safety-first culture; conduct daily housekeeping checks and weekly safety meetings
  • Review SOPs for employee safety
  • Respond to plant emergencies and provide on-call support as required
  • Support MOC, IRR, and AIM systems
  • Respond to plant emergencies and provide after-hours support during critical situations.
  • Fulfill on-call duties as required.
  • Report equipment breakdowns and maintenance.
  • Serve as inventory management system super user; train others and troubleshoot issues
  • Enter and verify receiving, shipping, and inventory adjustment transactions
  • Generate monthly inventory and throughput reports
  • Plan, stage, and manage materials for outbound shipments to ensure accuracy, traceability, and on-time delivery.
  • Enforce established workflow for receiving inspection, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Coordinate carrier scheduling and resolve freight issues.
  • Provide hands-on support during high-volume periods.
  • Manage contractor resources: assign work, create schedules, monitor performance
  • Provide coverage for essential warehouse duties during contractor absences
  • Optimize warehouse layout to improve safety, accessibility, and efficiency
  • Provide coaching and training to contract staff, fostering a positive and open work environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with Product Management, CSRs, Engineering, and Operations teams on customer requests, plant trials, and process improvements.
  • Monitor and track monthly warehouse KPIs, working closely with Bayport Management to identify and resolve any issues.
  • Work effectively with other team members, including production, quality assurance, and shipping personnel, to ensure smooth workflows and meet production targets.
  • Perform grade change work.
