This labor-intensive position is responsible for hand building pallets of product for bulk and route trucks, requiring strict attention to order accuracy for loading outgoing and unloading incoming trucks. The role involves using an electronic order system or order sheets to build loads with a forklift and/or electronic pallet jack, ensuring accuracy and compliance with shipper/receiver documentation. Employees must maintain a clean and safe work environment. The position may involve working in various weather conditions and hours, with shift duration depending on workload and potentially varying daily. Specific duties include transport truck loading (moving full pallets, unloading raw materials), bulk truck loading (selecting and loading designated packages and flavors onto pallets, maintaining stability, shrink-wrapping), and route truck loading (selecting customized products/packages for each truck based on salespersons' orders). The role also involves unloading returned products and pallets/plastic flats. It requires frequent lifting of a very high volume of cases of product per day, ranging from 20-45 pounds per case, repeatedly during a long work period, and constant standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping as product is moved.
