About The Position

Join the Staples World Class Supply Chain Team as a Warehouse Associate, responsible for delivering essential products to customers. This role may involve working in one of four areas: Order Picker (picking and preparing customer orders, potentially above ground level), Restocker (scanning labels, cutting boxes, and restocking shelves), Bulk Selector (selecting, pulling, and packing totes, cutting cases, and stocking product, moving items onto a conveyor belt), or Custodian (general cleaning and basic maintenance duties, including restrooms, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, cleaning furniture/windows, and trash removal). All tasks require strict adherence to safety procedures. Associates are essential to the success of Staples Supply Chain and may be moved between these roles as business needs dictate. Safety is the utmost priority in this role.

Requirements

• An ability to count and use basic arithmetic skills.

• An ability to lift, lower, push, pull or carry product up to a maximum of 70 pounds by hand.
• Must wear safety composite shoes.
• Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• Prior warehouse or applicable experience to include, but not limited to: fast-food (utilizing headset a plus), stockroom, working with racking systems, customer service, package handling, etc.

Responsibilities

• Pick and prepare customer orders accurately and timely to meet daily production goals.
• Pick above ground level while adhering to safety procedures (Order Picker).
• Scan labels, cut boxes, and restock shelves to prep your work area for the next shift while adhering to safety procedures (Restocker).
• Select product, pull, and pack totes (Bulk Selector).
• Cut cases of merchandise and/or stock product (Bulk Selector).
• Move full totes and cases onto a conveyor belt while adhering to safety procedures (Bulk Selector).
• Perform general cleaning and basic maintenance duties both inside and outside of the facility (Custodian).
• Clean and sanitize restrooms (Custodian).
• Vacuum and remove spots from carpet (Custodian).
• Sweep and mop floors (Custodian).
• Clean and dust chairs, partition walls and other miscellaneous furniture (Custodian).
• Clean windows and brass (Custodian).
• Collect and remove trash from the warehouse (Custodian).
• Ensure safe work practices and embrace our safety culture.
