About The Position

Join the Staples World Class Supply Chain Team as a warehouse associate, delivering essential products to customers. This role offers pay for performance, allowing associates to earn additional compensation based on productivity. As a warehouse associate, you may be assigned to one of four areas: Order Picker, Restocker, Bulk Selector, or Custodian. The Order Picker role involves accurately picking and preparing customer orders, sometimes above ground level. Restockers scan labels, cut boxes, and restock shelves. Bulk Selectors select, pull, and pack totes, cut cases, and move products onto a conveyor belt. Custodians handle general cleaning and basic maintenance duties, including sanitizing restrooms, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, cleaning furniture, windows, and removing trash. Associates may be moved between these roles as needed. Safety is a top priority, and all associates are expected to ensure safe work practices and embrace the company's safety culture.

Requirements

• If hired as a Full-Time associate, must have the ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift; additional overtime hours will be required based on business need
• Ability to lift, lower, push, pull or carry product up to a maximum of 70 pounds by hand
• Must wear safety composite shoes
• Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time
• Must be at least 18 years old

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
• Prior warehouse or applicable experience to include, but not limited to: fast-food (utilizing headset a plus), stockroom, working with racking systems, customer service, package handling, etc.

Responsibilities

• Pick and prepare customer orders accurately and timely to meet daily production goals
• Pick above ground level while adhering to safety procedures
• Scan labels, cut boxes, and restock shelves to prep work area for the next shift while adhering to safety procedures
• Select product, pull, and pack totes
• Cut cases of merchandise and/or stock product
• Move full totes and cases onto a conveyor belt while adhering to safety procedures
• Perform general cleaning and basic maintenance duties both inside and outside of the facility
• Clean and sanitize restrooms
• Vacuum and remove spots from carpet
• Sweep and mop floors
• Clean and dust chairs, partition walls and other miscellaneous furniture
• Clean windows and brass
• Collect and remove trash from the warehouse
• Ensure safe work practices and embrace the safety culture
