SUMMARY: The Warehouse Operator is responsible for the safe handling, storage, and distribution of materials, including hazardous substances, while ensuring compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, and other applicable regulations. The ideal candidate will have formal training and certifications in Hazardous Materials (HazMat). DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials, including hazardous substances, in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring proper labeling, documentation, and compliance with HazMat shipping regulations. Operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks) safely and efficiently. Maintain accurate inventory records using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), if applied. Operate warehouse demands to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and security standards. Assist in implementing spill response, emergency procedures, and HazMat incident containment if required. Collaborate with logistics, production, and safety teams to streamline warehouse workflows. Perform housekeeping and 5S activities to maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility. Occasional weekends or extra hours may be required to meet operational demands. Support and assist in implementing and maintaining certified management systems ascribed to DK such as ISO 9001. Identify training needs of personnel. Promote awareness of risks and opportunities associated with their work. Maintain an understanding of the Quality policy and how they personally contribute to meeting DK objectives and goals Support and assist in implementing and maintaining the RCMS program. Identify training needs of personnel. Promote awareness of the RCMS guiding principles and Dorf Ketal's HSSE policy, objectives and goals in addition to how they can contribute to them. Other projects as required.
