Pitney Bowes is now hiring for a Warehouse Operations Supervisor in our Arlington, TX Presort facility. Salary range: $59,000.00 - $63,000.00 annual salary + 6% bonus. As part of our commitment to a flexible work schedule, this role does not have a set amount of vacation per year. 1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM As an Operations Supervisor you will work with the team to meet the company's productivity standards and requirements. Requirements

  • Ability to work Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Minimum of one-year supervisory experience in any one of the following areas where familiarity of USPS requirements and/or regulations are applied (presort, mailroom, associated industries)
  • Minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in a production or mailing industry environment
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel and/or MS Access along with basic knowledge of MS Word, internet, and email
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., or current maximum allowed by your State
  • Walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of the time with or without accommodation
  • Based on operational needs must be willing and able to work as needed, including weekends, holidays, days off and/or a different shift with limited or no advance notice

Responsibilities

  • Under direction from the Operations Manager or Assistant Operations Manager, organizes the mail flow on the production floor by assigning workers and assessing volumes and type of mail based on current staffing levels to meet postal deadlines.
  • Responsible for overseeing the production workers on designated shift. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and solving problems. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
  • Oversees quality function throughout the production area. Assures TQM (Total Quality Management) processes and procedures are followed at all times
  • Assists Operations Manager in completing required USPS and internal reports, job costing reports and application of all USPS postal regulations. Assures clear and concise communication of pertinent information between shifts
  • Offers suggestions regarding increasing efficiency of use of equipment, working conditions, and motivation of employees
  • Responsible for logistics and dispatch management, including managing transportation and shipping schedules to ensure timely receiving and delivery of products
  • Monitors preplanned routes, communicating any deviation from operation plans, tracking shipments, and communicating with internal departments, customers, and external transport companies
  • Other duties as assigned
