About The Position

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of the physical space, workforce, and operational processes of Southwestern Distribution Center (SWDC). This position partners with the General Manager in fostering an inclusive culture, managing change, developing, and documenting processes. The Warehouse Operations Supervisor oversees inventory control including pick and pack line stock levels, returns, cycle counting, and receiving. This position reports to the General Manager and provides excellent service to team members and customers while demonstrating the company values and supporting the mission.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years of warehouse, fulfillment, logistics, or distribution management experience with exposure to a variety of traffic contexts
  • Ability to work with multiple software platforms including WMS systems, Ecommerce Platforms, and SAP
  • Must be willing to work occasional Saturdays and overtime hours as required to support warehouse operations and meet shipping deadlines
  • Ability to operate machinery/equipment as required
  • Ability to adapt to change
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while accomplishing daily tasks
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and mentor staff.
  • Identify professional development opportunities and provide performance feedback on an ongoing basis.
  • Serve as a key leader within distribution center, responsible for all operational matters related to the warehouse
  • Oversee inventory control including pick and pack line stock levels, returns, cycle counting, and receiving
  • Assist in establishing operations aligned with company policies and procedures and assemble a core support team to grow and scale operations as needed
  • Partner with the General Manager in fostering an inclusive culture, managing change, developing, and documenting processes
  • Create and uphold high safety standards and procedures
  • Participate in the creation of documentation i.e SOP creation and development
  • Responsible for warehouse layout including pick lines, storage, and project areas
  • Work in collaboration with the management team to coordinate workforce needs and workflow
  • Uphold SWDC compliance to government regulations including FDA, TDA, and OSHA
  • Develop and manage internal customer relationships and external customer service levels within the operation
  • Assist with onboarding of new customers
  • Actively manage warehouse operations to maximize efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees
  • Establish, monito, and manage operation goals
  • Identify trends or challenges and troubleshoot within the warehouse operation
  • Conduct meetings with team and attend meetings as needed
  • Maintain consistent communication with General Manager to enforce transparency and effectiveness
  • Act as manager when General Manager is unavailable
  • Perform other duties as assigned
