Responsibilities Purpose: Supervises assigned area of warehouse operations in compliance with Company policies, guidelines, government regulations and collective bargaining agreement, if applicable. Delivers superior store service, through ensuring the timely, safe and accurate handling of inbound and outbound product for delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field; or,
  • Has significant prior warehouse experience; or,
  • Possesses superior supervisory skills with a minimum of 2-4 years’ experience as a Manager/Supervisor, and with demonstrated levels of achievement.

  • Solid computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, particularly reading, understanding, and manipulating cost and performance data in reports as needed.
  • Ability to influence and encourage change in people and the operation.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully plans warehouse operations for assigned area based on the needs of the business by optimizing shipping, receiving, and delivery of store orders, minimizing perishability and monitoring product stock rotation requirements.
  • Schedules warehouse associates to achieve retail customer service objectives.
  • Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing to direct, coach, train, issue corrective action (as needed) and lead warehouse associates to achieve optimal accuracy, productivity and to drive associate retention.
  • Monitors workflow through routine spot checks on progress of associates and adjusts staffing and schedules as needed to increase efficiency, to the extent permitted by location.
  • Inspects warehouse throughout the workday to identify and eliminate safety hazards and workflow impediments, verify the security of the building, the compliance with sanitation and pest control standards, and the operational safety of warehouse personnel.
  • Manages inventory to maintain in-stock positions and service levels.
  • Conducts productive crew meetings to discuss safety, productivity, and accuracy.
  • Accurately records, maintains, and reports metrics in a timely manner, including those regarding production and accuracy of personnel, utilizing Company devices and systems.
  • Effectively collaborates with store and warehouse personnel, Procurement, Transportation, Vendors, Inventory Control, and related internal and external contacts to resourcefully meet business objectives.
  • Identifies operational opportunities and makes recommendations to drive continuous improvement.
  • Makes recommendations on hiring and staffing, promoting the Company’s Diversity initiatives operationally.
  • Assists in investigations as needed.
  • Performs other management duties as requested, including special projects.
  • Performs all assignments with highest integrity.
