The Warehouse Operations Manager in our Indianapolis, In office, will support daily activities within a small warehouse environment, working closely with one other team member to ensure smooth, accurate, and efficient operations. This individual must bring strong warehouse experience, organizational discipline, and a continuous improvement mindset. The role requires someone who can operate independently, collaborate effectively, and introduce well‑structured process improvements that elevate the overall warehouse function This position requires direct employment. We do not consider C2C (Corp-to-Corp) or 1099 contract arrangements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent combined
  • Minimum 10 years of warehouse operations experience, ideally in small or lean warehouse environments.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control, warehouse best practices, related warehouse management tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven ability to develop, implement, and sustain process improvements.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills within a collaborative team environment with shared responsibilities.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds, stand for extended periods, and operate warehouse equipment

Responsibilities

  • Process Improvement Evaluate existing workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and organization.
  • Develop and implement practical, scalable process enhancements suitable for a small warehouse.
  • Create or refine standard operating procedures and documentation.
  • Introduce and maintain visual management tools, labeling systems, or other organizational methods.
  • Conduct routine cycle counts and support full physical inventory audits.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or discrepancies promptly.
  • Safety and Compliance Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard‑free working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Report safety issues, equipment malfunctions, or potential risks immediately.
  • Communication and Collaboration Collaborate with internal departments; purchasing, Instrumentation Team, panel shop, and leadership.
  • Support training, knowledge sharing, and consistent communication within the warehouse team.
