The Warehouse / Mobile Packing Assistant, under the supervision of the Manager, Warehouse and Transportation, is responsible for ensuring that all mobiles have the required materials, supplies and equipment. This role serves as a resource for Mobile Unit Operators for daily packing and acquisition of materials for successful operations and promotes a positive image of CBC to the community.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Must provide a copy of the transcript).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to confidently communicate and interpret intermediate information in English to all members of the public and CBC staff.
  • Ability to have and maintain a valid MO Class E Driver's License or KS Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills to successfully communicate with donors, staff, chairpersons, community and co-workers.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to meet projected goals.
  • Computer skills.
  • Good driving skills and record.
  • Knowledge of MO and KS driving laws.

Nice To Haves

  • Warehouse and/or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • At least 6 months experience in blood collections, supervision and FDA, AABB and OSHA regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assume responsibility for ensuring that all mobiles have the required materials, supplies and equipment.
  • Serve as a resource for Mobile Unit Operators for daily packing and acquisition of materials for successful operations.
  • Promote positive image of CBC to the community.
  • Competently perform all tasks required by Mobile Unit Operators.
  • Maintain equipment required for mobiles to include tracking, packing and unpacking, maintenance, storage and applicable Quality Control (QC).
  • Ensure all needed supplies are packed and ready for use.
  • Assist with loading, unloading and set-up of mobile equipment and supplies.
  • Ensure an adequate number and type of vehicles are assigned.
  • Perform monthly QC of equipment in conjunction with Mobile Packing Supervisor.
  • Obtain various reports from the computer.
  • Comply with all applicable safety policies and procedures.
  • Comply with Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) regarding calibration of equipment.
  • Order, receive, inspect and record critical supplies.
  • Maintain confidentiality of personal information regarding donors and staff.
  • Maintain prompt and regular attendance.
  • Confidently communicate and interpret intermediate information in English to all members of the public and CBC staff.
  • Have and maintain a valid MO Class E Driver's License or KS Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record.
