About The Position

Job Summary: The Warehouse Manager will supervise and control materials receiving, manage inventory levels and accuracy (through a combination of methods for the commodity, product, and/or process), stock locations, and combined with material flow control, coordinate the storage and retrieval as well as the transfer to/from the Work Centers. The Warehouse Manager will ensure that the materials procured are received per Internal Quality standards and that the Work Centers have the materials when they are needed. The Warehouse manager is responsible for inventory accuracy and investigating discrepancies through processes such as routine cycle-counts

Requirements

  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to work well with all levels of management and staff.
  • Proficient with inventory reporting systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in warehouse management is required.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and manages inventory control, receiving, material handling, and materials storage.
  • Maintains inventory levels to ensure min/max levels are maintained and that non-inventory materials are available for each Work Center following Purchasing and Planning timelines.
  • Maintains and ensures the accuracy of inventory and shop supplies by maintaining a chain of custody process that documents the volume and quantities of materials and supplies issued and consumed.
  • Works with the Purchasing department to schedule delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Works with Production Planning to align material availability with production schedules.
  • Oversees receiving functions related to purchased parts and commodity goods.
  • Manages and maintains the storage of purchased parts, and finished goods manufactured components and ensures that they are stored in a safe, tidy, and organized manner to minimize the travel time and the time needed to locate necessary materials and WIP goods.
  • Performs write-offs on damaged or obsolete inventory to reflect the accurate value of inventory.
  • Establishes procedures and processes for conducting and valuing physical inventory.
  • Establishes procedures for scrap materials and manages identification/segregation, root cause, and analysis. tracking and reporting.
  • Works with members of Production, Production Planning, Purchasing, and Accounting to ensure accurate and timely communication and management of inventory levels, consumption, and status.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Assumes responsibility for the safety and well-being of all the department members, while also ensuring that employees operating machinery, tools and equipment possess the necessary certifications and qualifications to execute their assigned tasks safely.
  • Manages and trains all related personnel (including supervisors from other departments) involved in the department's efforts and activities.
  • Sets and enforces policies and rules related to warehouse and material controls.
  • Creates, manages and enforces all policies related to inventory management.
  • Creates and monitors relevant KPIs to manage key deliverables.
  • Owns all department-related employee matters such as recruiting, hiring, firing, disciplinary actions, performance reviews, coaching, and employee development.
