About The Position

Warehouse Manager oversees the receiving, storage, inventory management ensuring efficient, accurate, and safe warehouse processes that keep our production lines running smoothly and our customers satisfied. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Pella, IA, ideal for a leader who thrives in a small-to-mid-sized manufacturing environment and takes pride in operational excellence.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of warehouse management or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control principles, cycle counting, and material handling best practices.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing and developing a team.
  • Experience operating or overseeing forklift and material handling equipment.
  • Proficiency with inventory/ERP systems (e.g., Epicor, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or related field preferred).

Nice To Haves

  • Background in heavy equipment or industrial manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of lean principles, 5S, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Forklift certification and/or experience with hazardous material handling (if applicable).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily warehouse operations, including receiving incoming materials, put-away, picking, packing, and outbound shipping of parts and finished equipment.
  • Manage inventory accuracy through cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliation using warehouse management systems or ERP software.
  • Supervise, train, and develop a team of warehouse associates, including scheduling, performance management, and fostering a culture of safety and accountability.
  • Coordinate closely with the manufacturing, assembly, purchasing, and sales teams to ensure timely availability of materials and on-time shipments.
  • Maintain organized storage layouts, optimize space utilization, and implement efficient material flow processes.
  • Enforce safety protocols, OSHA compliance, and proper handling of materials (including forklift and heavy equipment safety).
  • Monitor key performance metrics such as inventory accuracy, on-time shipping, order fulfillment rates, and warehouse productivity; drive continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the maintenance and condition of warehouse equipment, facilities, and grounds.
  • Manage and documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, and freight coordination with carriers.
  • Support lean manufacturing initiatives and help identify cost-saving opportunities in logistics and inventory management.
