About The Position

The Warehouse Manager ensures that the highest level of service to our customers is achieved by maintaining high quality standards and delivering results in an efficient manner. They provide clear expectations and leadership to the warehouse operations team and ensure that work is performed in a safe manner consistent with policies, processes and procedures. Our ideal applicant will continually strive to optimize warehouse operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in business, logistics or supply chain with a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience or a minimum of 7+ years in warehouse or distribution leadership role.
  • Proven leadership skills with ability to lead a diverse team and perform as an integral part of the plant leadership team required.
  • Effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills required – must be an effective team player.
  • Demonstrated skills in critical thinking and problem solving required
  • Demonstrated abilities to multi-task and handle multiple high priorities simultaneously
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Suite required
  • Skilled with wireless devices and hand-held scanners required
  • Must be able to work in high dust and noise area and be able to tolerate high heat, humidity and cooler temperatures in warehouse / manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to stand, walk and sit in manufacturing /warehouse environment throughout the shift schedule.

Nice To Haves

  • Food manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Warehouse Management Systems strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates clear expectations and manages the warehouse leadership team to accomplish the goals and objectives of the facility that include safety, service, GMP’s, sanitation, and efficiency
  • Evaluates labor and equipment requirements based on production and customer demand
  • Manages personnel through coaching, teaching, and corrective actions
  • Effectively coordinates with operations to optimize flow of goods and materials through the internal warehouse and outside warehouse
  • Leads complaint investigation and root cause analysis with corrective actions
  • Owns the relationships with 3rd party logistics providers (warehousing and trucking). Monitors, evaluates, and improves performance when needed. Ensures success measures are reached.
  • Ensures safety, loading, receiving, picking and transportation goals are met.
  • Plans labor requirements to match the expected inbound and outbound demand.
  • Monitors crewing schedules, performance evaluations, and delivers metrics.
  • Collaborates and develops processes to increase safety, efficiency, and service.
  • Decreases costs through the management of labor, inventory accuracy and reduction of damaged goods.
  • Evaluates and recommends continuous improvement solutions.
  • Optimizes storage space though consolidation and elimination of old inventory
  • Owns inventory accuracy through reconciliation, physical inventories, and cycle counts.
  • Creates a culture of safety within the department
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
