Position Summary: The Warehouse Manager plans, direct, or coordinates transportation, storage, or distribution activities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable government laws or regulations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- 3+ years related work experience
- Forklift Certified
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Competent in warehousing inventory control system
Responsibilities
- Schedule or monitor pickup, delivery or distribution of products or materials.
- Inspect physical conditions of warehouses, vehicle fleets, or equipment and order maintenance or repairs.
- Plan, develop or implement warehouse safety and security programs and activities.
- Review invoices, work orders or demand forecasts to estimate peak delivery periods and to issue work assignments.
- Supervise the activities of workers engaged in receiving, storing, and shipping products or materials.
- Train warehouse personnel.
- Respond to customers' or shippers' questions and complaints regarding storage and distribution services.
- Confer with branch personnel to coordinate warehouse activities.
