Job Purpose The Warehouse Manager oversees daily operations and maintains a safe work environment by enforcing Growscape’s safety standards. This position ensures that the Warehouse operates efficiently by supervising and training warehouse employees while monitoring and managing operations goals and objectives while staying within budget .

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Three or more years of experience in a warehouse role managing hourly employees
  • Proficiency with warehouse procedures and policies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of company staff
  • Ability to deliver effective feedback, both written and verbal
  • Forklift operations and training
  • Proficiency with Warehouse and Inventory Control platforms
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office products
  • Experience using RF scanners
  • Standing or sitting for extended periods of time
  • Bending
  • Reaching
  • Pushing/Pulling
  • Lifting up to 50lbs unassisted

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience with Cherry Pickers and Turret Trucks preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily warehouse activities, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and Repack.
  • Schedule and oversee warehouse team and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime.
  • Ensure a safe working environment for all employees at all times.
  • Work directly with Corporate EHS manager to create and implement safety protocols and conduct all required safety training for all staffing within the distribution facility.
  • Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment to meet customer expectations.
  • Optimize layout and workflow to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure employees are inspecting machinery and equipment daily as required and ensure any maintenance that needs to be addressed with such machinery is reported to technicians to complete and work is completed prior to being re-issued into service.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy through regular audits and cycle counts.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Supervise and train warehouse staff, including Supervisors, leads, PIT operators, and order pickers/packers.
  • Schedule shifts and assign tasks to ensure coverage and productivity.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching or disciplinary action as needed.
  • Analyze warehouse operations and identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce overall operating cost.
  • Participate in all new customer trainings for portals and ensure all rules and guidelines are followed within the pick and ship process
  • Work with IT to ensure all customer requirements are built within the EDI system and follow up on trainings year over year to ensure no new information has been implemented.
  • Plan all shipments onto BOLs for retail customer.
  • Route all required customer shipments for retail
  • Work with load planning department on prepaid shipments planning to ensure best rate for shipment is being utilized.
  • Conduct yearly audits with inventory counters and bank representatives.
  • Manage budgets for labor, equipment, and supplies.
  • Track KPIs such as order accuracy, on-time shipments, and inventory turnover.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and other legal requirements.
