About The Position

Manage all aspects of the warehouse (on-site and off-site) including inventory control and distribution, to ensure proper inventory levels and timely shipments of customer orders.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5-10 years of relevant work experience
• 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing
• Ability to handle the stress of working with others
• Ability to be available outside of normal work hours
• Ability to assess employee performance and coach and develop others
• Ability to lead by example
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles
• Ability to use and influence organizational policies, standards and procedures guiding manufacturing practices
• Ability to effectively manage the business relationship and transactions with the suppliers of raw materials or product components
• Knowledge of the processes, tools, and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials throughout the manufacturing cycle
• Knowledge of issues and considerations for effectively managing local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work in progress and finished goods
• Knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations and regulatory requirements associated with safety and protection of the employees, environment and site

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree
• APICS CPIM
• 2-5 years of experience in a plastics or fabrication environment

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the shipping and receiving department.
• Assist in managing inventory control programs across all material types to ensure accurate inventory and drive inventory reductions.
• Oversee the shipping and receiving functions to optimize flow while facilitating a working warehouse and offsite warehouse, when applicable.
• Facilitate and execute continuous improvement activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
