About The Position

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for operations of the warehouse and shipping department, including transportation. He/she will manage a team of direct reports to coordinate the movement of raw material, waste and finished goods through the warehouse. Rotating the raw material and finished goods inventory and shipping the finished goods in compliance with company and customer requirements. He/she will direct activities to limit costs, improve accuracy, and maintain exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 5-10 years operations/production management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with operational tactics, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of production processes, raw materials, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A good self-starter
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Detail oriented.

  • College degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Track and maintain all shipping related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure productivity, quality and service level goals are exceeded.
  • Ensure the movement of finished goods and raw material through the warehouse meeting production and rail car schedules.
  • Maintaining the safety, security, sanitation and cleanliness of the warehouse, docks and all related equipment.
  • Lead team to identify and implement process improvements using SOP’s, 5S to limit costs, improve accuracy, and maintain exceptional customer service.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring accuracy and compliance through regular cycle counts.
  • Responsible for the implementation of continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and methods to generate improved plant performance, workflow optimization, and efficiencies.
  • Responsible for overseeing inventory, and materials management, raw material and finished goods.
