About The Position

As a Warehouse Manager, you will be a key player in shaping a supportive and engaging work environment for the Forest Park, GA, plant, a manufacturer of quality refrigerated dough. Your role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day warehouse operations of the facility and involves supervising a team of warehouse team members, coordinating preventive and corrective activities, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor's degree in logistics or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment, with at least three years in a supervisory role is required.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, quality control procedures, and inventory management.
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to supervisors and team members, including assigning tasks and ensuring targets and schedules are met.
  • Act as a liaison among the warehouse, company plants and warehouses, and corporate operations to address problems and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Actively participate in all employee safety-related activities, fostering an environment that values and insists on safe work practices.
  • Monitor and resolve issues related to the timely and accurate receiving and shipping of inventory.
  • Review warehouse invoices against contracted pricing, approve for payment, and post invoices for payables.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement (CI) activities and foster an environment of employee engagement, empowerment, and teamwork, particularly in relation to CI, LEAN, and other change-driven areas.
  • Monitor and evaluate worker performance and provide constructive feedback, including corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure the warehouse area is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
