About The Position

Interior Exterior Building Supply, the number one commercial and residential building material supplier in the Southeast, is searching for a Warehouse Manager for our newest location in Opelika, AL!  This position plays a critical role in the day-to-day operations of the company.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have 3 years’ management experience, preferably with a building supply distribution background.
• Must have basic mechanical knowledge for maintaining forklifts and trucks – ability to communicate problems to mechanic for resolution when necessary.
• Overall knowledge of DOT requirements including knowledge of EDL (electronic driving logs) is required.
• Forklift certification is required.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

Nice To Haves

• College degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all Operation employees including, Drivers, Helpers, Warehouse Labor and Forklift Operators.
• Manage all aspects of the warehouse such as stocking, reordering, inventory, safety.
• Ensure the building, trucks, forklifts, and any other equipment is properly maintained.
• Complete Safety Orientation with all employees.
• Conduct monthly Safety Meetings.
• Handle emergencies such as employee accidents or incidents along with all the reporting and follow up that goes with it.
• Act as main liaison between the Branch and the Safety Director.
• Work closely with Human Resources on all new hires, terminations, corrective action, and personnel changes for all Warehouse employees.
