About The Position

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing warehouse operations at Advantech’s Tustin facility to ensure efficient, accurate and safe material flow. This role oversees inbound and outbound logistics, inventory control, warehouse automation and overall team performance while ensuring compliance with company policies, safety, standards and operational procedures. Reporting directly to the COO, the Warehouse Manager provides leadership, coaching and development to warehouse staff and new hires. This position plays a key role in supporting Advantech’s operational excellence, quality standards, and customer satisfaction objectives within the new Tustin headquarters.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7+ years of warehouse or distribution experience in material handling, shipping/receiving, inventory control, or operations.
  • Prior management or supervisory experience in a warehouse or logistics environment required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Working knowledge of warehouse operations, safety practices, and standard operating procedures.
  • Valid forklift certification required, with the ability to train and certify employees as needed.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with warehouse automation technologies such as ASRS, AMRs, and goods-to-person systems.
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Exposure to digital transformation initiatives, including paperless warehouse or system integration projects.
  • Experience with auto-dimensioning, labeling systems, or cross-dock operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead warehouse operations in accordance with established policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency, productivity, and service levels.
  • Oversee the daily performance and reliability of warehouse automation systems, including ASRS, goods-to-person picking, and automated sealing and shipping systems.
  • Partner with automation vendors, Engineering, and IT teams to resolve system issues, minimize downtime, and maintain operational continuity.
  • Plan and manage preventive maintenance programs for automated equipment to reduce operational risk.
  • Ensure accurate and consistent data integration across WMS, SAP, MES, and ASRS through effective master data governance and operational controls.
  • Direct inventory management activities, including physical inventories, customer consignment programs, and reconciliation processes.
  • Ensure accuracy of transactions, reporting, and system data within SAP, WMS, and CTOS/MES.
  • Review and analyze reports related to shipments, inventory accuracy, and material flow to support continuous improvement.
  • Oversee order fulfillment operations and resolve customer or sales order discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Supervise, train, and develop warehouse employees, including forklift operation training and certification.
  • Prepare, monitor, and report warehouse key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Perform additional duties and support cross-functional projects as assigned.
