About The Position

The Warehouse Manager leads all GDP/cGMP warehousing and internal logistics activities to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient flow of materials—from receipt and quarantine through sampling, release, storage, issuance, and shipment. This role oversees day-to-day operations, people leadership, audit readiness, and continuous improvement for ambient, refrigerated, and frozen inventories that support clinical/commercial manufacturing, as well as labs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Operations, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years in GMP/GDP warehouse or regulated operations (pharma/biotech/medical device/food), including 3+ years leading teams.
  • Cold-chain and international shipping experience required.
  • Experience managing regulatory inspections and audits.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
  • Strong hands-on leadership style
  • Proficient in oral & written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Proficiency with ERP/WMS platforms (SAP/Oracle/Microsoft)

  • Experience with biologics, sterile injectables, or complex drug products.
  • Strong project management skills with experience in cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce EHS, OSHA, DOT, and IATA regulations; require proper PPE, equipment checks, racking inspections, and powered industrial truck (PIT) safety.
  • Ensure cGMP/GDP compliance (21 CFR 210/211; EU GDP); maintain controlled material status (Quarantine/Released/Rejected/Blocked).
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation (SOPs, logs, training, calibration/PM, pest control, sanitation).
  • Lead or support investigations, deviations, CAPAs, change controls, and risk assessments.
  • Manage temperature-controlled storage and temperature excursion workflows.
  • Direct receiving, verification, and put away, coordinate QA receipt inspection and release.
  • Coordinate QC sampling (material staging, chain of custody, sampling booth/room readiness).
  • Manage inventory using FEFO/expiry control, status labels, and barcoding/handheld scanners.
  • Oversee kitting and material issuance to manufacturing; ensure right-first-time ERP/WMS transactions.
  • Plan and execute cycle count and annual physical inventory; drive ≥99% inventory accuracy.
  • Manage returns, rejects, non-conformances, and GMP destruction of materials.
  • Own dock operations, loading plans, carrier scheduling, and site traffic flow.
  • Plan domestic/international shipments (small parcel, LTL/FTL, cold chain); ensure correct classification, packaging, labeling, and documentation (BOL, CoA, MSDS/SDS, temp logs).
  • Ensure GDP-compliant chain of custody with dataloggers/indicators and route risk assessments.
  • Manage 3PLs/couriers, service levels, and performance (OTIF, damage rate, temp compliance).
  • Lead, coach, and develop a multi-shift team (hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, performance management).
  • Build a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement (5S, visual controls, standard work).
  • Manage department budget (labor, MHE, racking, supplies) and capital proposals; ensure vendor performance.
  • Own readiness and PM/calibration schedules for racking, PIT/forklifts, pallet jacks, scales, printers, temperature monitoring systems, and cold rooms/freezers.
  • Ensure cleaning and sanitation of warehouse zones; maintain pest control and housekeeping standards.
