About The Position

Responsible for a wide variety of tasks within the distribution center and manufacturing departments. Primary responsibilities include transferring trailers to designated buildings at the plant, staging empty and full trailers and tankers, and weighing in and out trailers. Secondary responsibilities include filling in for absent distribution center employees and facilitating excellent communication between departments to ensure chemicals are properly moved. This person must be able to read and interpret technical information, handle physical work as well as some computer applications, and work in hot, cold, and dusty environments.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Computer Skills: Have basic computer skills. Efficiently navigate a web browser, follow online instructions, type, and use a mouse.
  • Customer Service Skills: Meet internal and external commitments, respond promptly to customer needs, and solicit customer feedback to improve service.
  • Work Ethic: Be dependable, trustworthy, truthful, and credible in the workplace. Display a sincere desire to provide service or assistance, follow instructions, and take responsibility for own actions. Show a commitment to doing the best job possible.
  • Physical Abilities: Lift and carry 75 pounds in various packaging. Able to row trailers up and down and climb on and off equipment.
  • Other skills: Be a logical and practical thinker. Must be able to read product and chemical names.
  • Detailed Oriented: Must be able to proofread documents.
  • Comply with all Federal, State, and Local laws.
  • Have fluency in reading, writing, and speaking in English.
  • Adhere to guidelines, policies, and procedures as described in the Jacam Catalyst handbook.
  • Adhere to Jacam Catalyst’s Drug and Alcohol policy and agree to submit to random drug testing as a condition of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Truck driving experience is preferred.
  • Class A CDL is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Transfer trailers to all designated buildings of the manufacturing facility.
  • Staging empty and full trailers and tankers as required.
  • Weighing inbound and outbound trailers as required.
  • Monitor trailers and tankers in the yard and track any outside carriers that are on the property.
  • Fill in as a distribution center associate as required by the distribution center supervisor.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on KPA as required and keep equipment clean.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with shipping, receiving, and other personnel.
  • Assist general tasks as required by the distribution center supervisor.
