About The Position

This is a warehouse position responsible for loading pre-assembled pallets and containers for shipment or transporting on delivery vehicles as directed under general supervision.

Requirements

Understands how to properly build pallets with correct stacking patterns.
Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively and perform basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
Must be able to work in various warehouse environments with fluctuating temperatures, including Dry, Cooler (32®), Freezer (-20®) and moderate to high noise levels.
Previous experience operating an electric pallet jack or forklift for material handling.
Previous experience at in foodservice industry (preferred) or in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

Loads and unloads shipments as required; constant lifting of boxes weighing up to 100 pounds each.
Loads trucks according to truck mapping and special instructions.
Loads product in a manner to avoid damage and maintain load stability to ensure driver safety.
Ensure that pallets are properly strapped to the e-track of the trailer to ensure stability.
Unload and clean out trucks as necessary.
Operates pallet jacks (manual or electric) in a safe manner.
Prepares products for shipment under general supervision by weighing, handling and transporting, as necessary.
Ensure pallets have pick labels facing out to allow for proper delivery to customers.
Ensure all pallets are properly strapped using the z-tracks in each trailer to secure the load.
Hand loads product onto trucks as required.
Complies with all safety regulations and standards.
